Besides fighting, drinking and plundering, pirates are known for making music!!!!  Every pirate loves to sing (though, you may not love to hear him!)  But there are some musical pirates that are a delight to listen to.  The Corsairs gave us many hours of entertainment at the Pirates in Paradise Festival last year, and we were glad to see they made it again this year.  Besides the Corsairs, we were thrilled the Pyrates Royale made it this time, as well as the lads & lasses from the NY Ren Faire, who call themselves the Crimson Pirates. Other groups sang as well, including members of On the Lamb and the Pyrates of Tortuga.  But a pirate doesn't have to belong to an official musical troupe in order to entertain himself and others with song.  In fact ... just try and stop him (or her).

Pirates will break into song, anywhere, anytime, at the drop of a doubloon
(Red Dog, Winchester Crumbee and Bartholomew Roberts)

(Bartholomew Roberts, Mark Miller, Bawdy Be and ?)

Many musicians take a break here on the docks.

And, of course there was spontaneous singing out at sea.

Not only are these pirates musical, but they are colorful too.
