These films are recommended for
various reasons, from excellent quality, to "all out
fun". For ideas on pirate personas, carefully watch the
secondary characters in any of these movies. Whereas the leading
character is restricted by his (or her) role, the secondary
characters have more leeway to act the part of a picturesque
pirate.

O'Hara, Anthony Quinn: King's spy infiltrates pirate colony in

Captain Horatio Hornblower - 1951, Gregory Peck,
Virginia Mayo: Though not really about pirates (though Hornblower

watch. Great for costume ideas..

Caribbean. Based on the book by Frank Yerby.

tale.
Jamaica Inn - 1939, Charles Laughton, Maureen
O'Hara, & Robert Newton (directed by Alfred Hitchcock, based on the novel by

BAWDY BUCCANEERS - X-rated Sea-going Skin Flics
Capt. Hooker and Peter Porn - 19??
Captain Lust & the Pirate Women - 1979. Actually has
a good story line and it parodies a lot of other Pirate genre
films. The sex isn't half bad either. The best part is the songs.
Each segment opens with a dirty sea chanty. From: International
Home Entertainment Corp. #1003 86min. (Thanks to Gael, Dead Jim,
& DC)
Conquest - 1996. The reviewers gave this movie a
high rating for the costuming. Believe me, to talk about the
clothes in a porn flick is remarkable to say the least!
Snatchbuckler - 19??
What's the lesbian doing in my pirate movie -
1995. Cast includes Ron Jeremy in a non-sex role: Isn't this a
great title or what? If anyone has viewed this movie, send us a
