scholarly collection of songs about pirates from the 16th - 19th centuries. Well
illustrated with engravings from period sheet music, broadsides, and other sources. Though
scholarly, this book is very approachable, and the background notes are fascinating. Music
is provided for most songs, with chords. Well indexed, with an extensive
bibliography.##.
