Ongoing Pub Sings, Shanty Sings &Pub Crawls

Like to sing songs or play music sailors and pirates might have enjoyed?

There are others like you, and many of them gather together on a regular basis.  Here are the gatherings we've been told about.  Feel free to notify us of others, or of changes to the ones below.

We caution our readers to confirm the events below using the contact information (especially if it is your first time), as sometimes events may change or even cancel. 

ONGOING PUB SINGS  near the Los Angeles Harbor
Last Friday each month, 8:00 PM at The Whale & Ale Pub in San Pedro, CA.
327 West 7th Street, San Pedro, CA 90731, 310-832-0363.  Gather in the room on the second floor in the front.  You do not need to tell anyone you are coming, just show up. Bring any books of sea shanty music that you have.

Monthly Pirate Party - Starting it's 4th year.  All Ages - No Cover charge. Pirate Music, Sea Chanteys, Songs and Music of the Sea - Come in Pirate Costume and get a free rum drink. At the Speisekammer,  2424 Lincoln Ave., Alameda, CA, Phone:  510-522-1300.

MONTHLY PIRATE PARTY AT TIKI TOM'S hosted by Skip Henderson and the Starboard Watch

Can't get enough Skip Henderson (or pirates), head over to the Monthly Pirate Party at Tiki Tom's (First Sunday Every Month) - All Ages - No Cover - An evening of Pirate Music, Sea Chanteys, Songs and Music of the Sea - Come in Pirate Costume. Located on the Alameda/Oakland estuary at the Park Street Bridge. Limited dock space for sailin’ Pirates.

ONGOING PUB SINGS hosted by Ship's Company:
The Chanteymen host monthly public chantey sings in the Washington D.C./Baltimore/Annapolis vicinity . All are invited to join in the chorus or even lead a chantey or two!  Best to call ahead if you are coming a distance…while these are nearly every month, perhaps once a year we end up canceling for a holiday conflict or something.

Second Wednesday each month, 8 to 10 pm: Sea Shanty singing,
at the Wharf Rat Pub, 801 S. Anne Street, Baltimore, Maryland (Fells Point) (410) 276-9034  No cover.

    Children left unattended will be towed away at owners expense.
